The state government has issued an order to lift the weekend curfew enforced on the districts that share borders with neighboring states. This decision was made since the state’s positive rate is dropping.
At the moment, the state’s positivity rating is 0.73 percent. The positive rate in districts where curfews are enforced is less than 2%. As a result, the weekend curfew has been lifted. If the number of cases rises, the deputy commissioners of the affected districts have the authority to impose a weekend curfew. Weekend curfews were imposed in districts bordering Kerala, such as Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar, as well as districts bordering Madras, such as Belagavi, Vijayapura, Bidar, and Kalaburagi bordering Maharashtra earlier in August due to high Covid cases.
Few guidelines to be followed:
- Everyday from 9.00 pm to 5.00 am in all districts night curfew will be there.
- All types of stores can operate from 05:00 am to 9:00 pm following all Covid protocols.
- The owners / staff in all the shops must be vaccinated with at least a single dose.
- Owners of all stores must personally undergo a Covid-19 test every 10 days to show the RT-PCR negative report when officers visit.
