Udupi is ready to welcome class 1-5 students

Offline classes for students of class 1 to 5 scheduled to begin on Monday, the deputy director of public instruction in Udupi has issued a directive to all schools to carefully observe Covid-19 standards and Covid-appropriate behavior. The district’s teachers have all been immunized. Schools have been told to carefully adhere to social distancing and to instruct in small groups of 20 students. All classrooms have been sanitized, and students are required to wear masks.

All school heads and Education Department officials have met at the taluk level. Schools have been instructed to make student safety a top priority. Half-day lessons will be held through the end of the month, and full-day programs will commence on November 2. The district contains eight schools with over 500 pupils, two of which are elementary schools and six of which are high schools. Because space may be limited, the instructors have been instructed to use hallways.

Officials have been instructed to visit five schools once a week as part of the ‘Shala Spandana’ initiative. They’ve also been instructed to look at school teaching and see if children are doing well in class. It has been mandated that schools do not hold courses in decrepit classrooms. Students who are falling behind in their academics should be discovered and provided extra help.
