Earlier in the day, the Union ministry of health and family welfare announced that the total number of doses given out as part of the country’s immunization push had reached 106.31 crores. As per provisional statistics as of 7 a.m. today, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage had surpassed 106.31 Cr (1,06,31,24,205) with the delivery of 12,77,542 vaccine doses in the past 24 hours.

The administration, on the other hand, was concerned about low immunization rates in various areas around the country.  The Union health minister met with state health ministers on October 28 to discuss preparations to boost the vaccination campaign. For the following month, the ministry has launched the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ (door-to-door vaccination) initiative, which will primarily focus on administering the second dosage to recipients.
