Karnataka reports 12 new Omicron cases

As per the state’s health minister, Karnataka reported 12 new cases of the Omicron strain of the novel coronavirus on Thursday, raising the total number of cases in the state to 31. Seven of them are women, and two of them are between the ages of 9 and 11. In Karnataka, 12 new cases of Omicron have been confirmed, raising the total number of cases to 31, as per the Health Minister, with 10 of the new cases coming from Bengaluru and one each from Mysuru and Mangaluru.

Five of the Bengaluru cases had traveled to the United Kingdom, and one had traveled to Nigeria from Denmark. The remaining three Bengaluru residents had never traveled before. A Mangaluru man, 27, had traveled from Ghana, and a Mysuru child, nine, had returned from Switzerland. As per health department officials, they had been isolated and were being treated. Their health is also being properly examined, they stated.
