International flights remain suspended in India due to COVID-19

Commercial international flights to and from India have been halted till February 28, 2022, because of the COVID-19 epidemic.  The ban would not apply to international all-cargo operations or flights specially approved by the DGCA, by a circular published by the country’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

India has extended the suspension of international commercial passenger services to and from India till February 28, 2022. Domestic flights resumed on May 25, 2020, after nearly two months of suspension due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Indian authorities have been operating special international flights since May 2020 and have been under bilateral “air bubble” arrangements with selected countries since July last year.
