Attendance Not Mandatory To Write SSLC & PU Exams In Karnataka.

The education system has been collapsed completely for the last two and a half years because of the pandemic. The Karnataka Education department conducted exams for the SSLC students for two days while PU students were promoted without exams last year. But this time, the department is determined to conduct the examinations to all. The students who have stayed away for long from schools because of covid19 and other reasons are now given exemption from minimum attendance conditions.

Taking Into consideration of delay in the start of physical classes, network problems during online classes etc, the department has decided not to insist on a minimum of 75 per cent attendance to appear for the board exams this year. Students who have enrolled themselves have been allowed to appear for the exams, said primary and secondary education minister, B C Nagesh.

PU education department director, Ramachandran, has also clarified that because of various problems, all the students will be allowed to appear for SSLC and PU examinations.
