As PUC exams are set to begin on Friday, a total of 31,308 II PU Students, including 1,384 repeaters from Dakshina Kannada, will appear for the final examination that commences this week. The exam will be held in 51 centres.
C D Jayanna, DDPU, Dakshina Kannada, said that elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct the examination across the district. Several meetings chaired by deputy commissioner K V Rajendra have been held to conduct the examination smoothly. All the centres have CCTV cameras installed for surveillance. Each examination centre is headed by a chief and joint chief examiners. The centres will follow existing Covid 19 SOPs. “The examination arrangements are similar to preparatory exams that concluded recently,” he added.
A total of 15,652 boys and 15,656 girls will appear for the examination from 213 colleges in Dakshina Kannada. The highest number of candidates are from the commerce stream-14,987, followed by science-11,992 and arts-4,329. Candidates can travel for free in state-run KSRTC buses to examination centres.
Meanwhile, the results of the I PU examination will be announced at the end of April. However, results are available through the Student Achievement Tracking System, and not online, as in previous years.
