The couple got a WhatsApp message from the +92 number on May 26. In the message it was written that they have won Rs 25 lac and to receive the same bank details have to be sent and only WhatsApp call has to be made in case of any clarification required. The message carried the SBI cheque image of Rs 25 lac and images of Amitabh Bachchan and the logo of KBC. The couple has alerted the public to be watchful.

Similar type of attempt was made in Delhi and police arrested Pranav Kumar Mishra of Bihar origin and Gautam Prasad Yadav of Jharkhand origin on Tuesday based on the complaint filed by a woman. The fraudsters asked the woman to send Rs 12,500 to claim the prize of Rs 25 lac. The gullible woman who sent the money got a doubt when the conmen asked her to send Rs 25,000 again. Later, she approached the police and the tricksters were arrested.

Delhi police informed that similar fraud took place in Haryana also. Five mobiles, 33 sim cards, 11 debit cards, five passbooks and fake ID cards are confiscated from the arrested duo. So be aware of the fraud messages and do inform the authorities if you come through any.
