Reasons to prefer tea over coffee

It is undoubtedly challenging for most of us to choose between coffee and tea while comparing them. There have always been arguments regarding the advantages of these two drinks. Most people overindulge in the beverage they prefer most, failing to assess the advantages and disadvantages of doing so.

It’s true that one of the most popular beverages for reviving the body is coffee. However, there is a good reason why many people have loved tea for so long. They fervently hold the conviction that no situation can be resolved by tea. Although many people also use coffee for this reason, tea has additional advantages that cannot be overlooked.

Let’s compare tea’s advantages to those of coffee:

Getting the Body Energized:

Most people think that coffee contains more caffeine than tea. That’s not fully accurate, though. Tea contains an equivalent amount of caffeine as coffee (equal servings). But each of those characteristics has a different impact on the body. Both of these will function to energize the body, but coffee’s effects will last only a short time. Your energy level will drop just as quickly as it rises. Tea, on the other hand, has a long-lasting effect on the body and will help you feel younger from the inside out. Tea is therefore always a better choice if you need to keep it going.

Dental Health:

In terms of dental hygiene, tea is unquestionably preferred since it shields teeth from the damaging bacteria that affects both gums and teeth as a result of leftover food. Tea contains chemicals that can kill or reduce the growth of germs that cause cavities and gum disorders. Contrarily, coffee is one of the main causes of discoloured teeth because of the stains it leaves behind due to its dark pigments.

Acid Reflux:

Both tea and coffee have a reputation for giving individuals acidity problems. Tea is less acidic than coffee, though. It could make you have problems like heartburn, acid reflux, or other GERD symptoms because it’s rough on the stomach. However, some herbal teas, including chamomile a, are proven to relieve acid reflux.

Relaxation:

Regular tea drinkers have been shown to exhibit a more relaxed physiological reaction to trying circumstances. In general, those who drink three cups of tea each day seem to have a 37% lower risk of depression than those who don’t. Contrarily, coffee could not affect people in the same way. Some people claim that it causes them to feel as though their nerves are on edge.

Heart Health:

Research has shown that drinking coffee and tea can lower your risk of developing cardiovascular disease. A Dutch study published in Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology: Journal of the American Heart Association in 2010 found that consuming more than six cups of tea each day reduced the risk of heart disease by 36% compared to those who consume less than one cup of tea per day. On the other hand, coffee users had a 20% decreased risk of heart disease. Additionally, one needs to be aware of their tolerance to caffeine because too much of it can have harmful effects on the body. A person’s sleep cycle may be disturbed if they eat more caffeine than 400 mg per day.

Weight loss:

Black coffee is supposedly a staple for dieters’ programs since it may assist in fat burning, according to many fitness magazines. It may not be entirely accurate, though, as several studies show that while a healthy person’s blood sugar levels rise after consuming a high-fat meal, the rise doubles when caffeine-containing beverages are also consumed, increasing the chance of developing diabetes.

Adversely, a number of modest studies show that green tea is the greatest beverage for promoting healthy weight management and a balanced metabolism.

Let us be clear to the fact that there is nothing wrong with coffee; in fact, it is one of the world’s most popular beverages. However, the benefits of tea over coffee are numerous, which is why tea holds a special place in people’s heart.
