Tourism experiences can now be enhanced for the tourist’s pleasure with the permission that is now granted for them to visit the beach end point. They can avail facilities of activities organised near the shore of the beach, informed Udupi deputy commissioner G Jagadeesha. Parameters that a beach certified under the Blue flag must have are met by the District Tourism Development Committee

After the jury had announced its judgement, tourists were allowed on the beach.Unfortunately, this had to be discontinued until the completion of work in the bamboo cladding along the beach. The work has now been completed and permission for tourists has been granted.

The date for the formal Blue Flag Hoisting Ceremony has not been fixed yet, said G. Jagadeesha. Padubidri is one among the eight beaches of the country  that were recently certified.
