Due to a substantial spike in the state’s COVID-19 figures and the associated risks, the Karnataka PUC II Practical exams that were scheduled to commence from April 28, 2021 have been postponed to a further date. As per the official announcement, these exams will take place post theory papers in June 2021.
The official statement was issued directing various colleges across the state to conduct the practical exams following the theory papers, in response to numerous requests from concerned parents, teachers and students who were threatened by the potential perils entwined with the alarming COVID-19 surge.
The Karnataka PUC II theory examination is scheduled to begin from May 24, 2021 and conclude on June 16, 2021, after which the practical exams are to commence.
Despite the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council For The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) cancelling the Class X board examinations, the SSLC examinations will however be held as scheduled in Karnataka, from June 21 to July 5, 2021 making Karnataka one of the few states deciding to go ahead with conducting examinations during the current pandemic situation.
As for the students of Class 1 to 9, they would be promoted on the basis of comprehensive evaluation and results would be published by April 30, 2021. For the students of Classes 1 to 8, the state had announced summer vacations from May 1 to June 14, 2021.
