The Chief Minister of Karnataka had announced the unlock 2.0 followed by
which there were urges to include Udupi in the list. Lockdown restrictions have been relaxed in Udupi from June 21 by considering the weekly moving average positivity rate as on June 20. The Udupi MLA had previously urged the government to relax the COVID restrictions in Udupi district.
All the shops and business activities will run from morning 6 AM to 5 PM. Dine in facilities will be allowed hotels with 50% occupancy. Public transportation can run provided that the number of passengers remains 50% of the total occupancy of the bus. The order from the State government said that considering the declining rate
of Test Positivity Rate in Udupi, all additional activities will run in the district till 5.00 AM July.
