About 20,713 artistes in the state will receive cash relief of Rs 3,000 each. Chief Minister B.S Yediyurappa announced this on Tuesday. The cash relief will be released through the Direct Benefit Transfer. The chief minister announced this package to the artistes as a part of the compensation project that consisted of Rs 2,050 crore. An amount of 6.23 crore has been sanctioned for this purpose. Covid relief amount can also be claimed by fruits, flowers and vegetable growers, construction workers, street vendors etc.
The scheme of providing relief was fund was announced during the first wave too. There was a recent update that asked the beneficiaries to apply through the SEVA SINDHU portal. After due verification, all the beneficiaries with aadhaar linked bank account could check if they have received the amount.
The artistes and others should enable and receive COVID vaccination. They need to ensure they are that they are vaccinated as to protect themselves. It needs to be understood that the relaxation of COVID lockdown does not mean that the pandemic has vanished but every citizen needs to be precautious.
Last the about 17,000 beneficiaries received relief amounts as a part of the scheme made due to the first wave of the pandemic. The government has ensured that in this phase at least 20,000 beneficiaries should be benefitted. There were many other Ministers present in the meeting as well.
