Vaccination drive for degree students will begin from 28th June onwards. Principals of all the degree colleges around Mangalore have been suggested to ensure that all the students are vaccinated. The following instructions were given to the colleges.
Every student needs to get vaccinated from the nearby Primary Health Care Centre at the earliest. The drive will begin on 28th June 2021. Students must produce the identity card issued by the principal of the respective colleges. 1st-year students who haven’t received identity cards can now collect them from the college. Aadhar card should be carried to the vaccination center as a document. They can produce any other document as well. It must be ensured that mobile phones are carried to the center. Separate arrangements will be made for students in the Primary HealthCare Centre. The teaching and nonteaching staff can also get vaccinated from the PHCs by producing the college ID card. A form will be given to them which will have to be filled by the beneficiaries. It is advised that principals of the respective colleges get in touch with the district taluk health officers to schedule the vaccination program more efficiently. The students must strictly follow the instructions given to them by the health department personnel.
To re-open the colleges, all the students need to be vaccinated. Students from other countries or other states will have to vaccinate themselves to efficiently start college.
