Due to the existing pandemic crisis, the SSLC examinations were conducted on the 19th and 22 of July. Each subject was allotted 40 marks and a total of 240 marks will be the maximum total of the written examination. By the addition of the internal marks, each student can get a maximum of 625 marks. It has been decided that the failed students will be allotted 5 grace marks in each subject to ensure passing in the examination.
The commissioner at the Department of Public Instruction said that every student will clear the examination and will be promoted to the next grade. Students with good preparation will come out with flying colors. He has assured that even the students who fail to clear examinations will be awarded passing marks.
The marks gained out of 40 will be converted in terms of 80. 20 marks for internals and 25 marks will be awarded for the first language. The students who fail to gain a minimum of 35 marks will be given grace marks of 5 in every subject. Sources have clarified that grace marks will be allotted in case of failure to clear the test and hence no student will retain in the present SSLC batch.
