The oxygen machinery was donated by Sonu Sood Foundation at Ullal community health care centre on August 19. The Deputy District Commissioner said that this will benefit the district very much. He said that this plant is set up by sharing the cost between the foundation and the district administration in the ratio 75:25. These units will be able to produce 30 to 40 cylinders of oxygen everyday. Henceforth people in Ullal and nearby areas can receive oxygen whenever necessary.
The Sonu Sood foundation has contributed 46 lac while the district administration added 12 lac. This is the first project that the foundation has given to the district. The work is divine and will help save many lives. Oxygen needs in the area were fulfilled by getting cylinders from elsewhere. However the new plants will become a relief to the problem. On behalf of the district commission, the health department will install the project.
