From Sunday, August 22, Hassan district Deputy Commissioner has issued an order allowing all types of vehicles to travel on Shiradi Ghat. From 6 a.m. until 7 p.m., all types of vehicles will be allowed to operate. Vehicle movement is limited to a single lane, he added.

On July 22, traffic was halted owing to a landslide in Hassan’s Maranahalli. On 21st August, DCs of Dakshina Kannada undertook a combined survey to assess the current state of the area and the feasibility of allowing vehicle movement.
