From October, Karnataka’s schools, theatres, and pubs will run at full capacity

With new Covid-19 infections under control, the Karnataka government announced on September 24 that schools and colleges will be able to hold regular in-person classes for grades 6-12 with 100% student attendance beginning October 1, as well as allow cinema halls, movie theaters, and pubs to operate at full capacity beginning October 3. The government changed the night curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Saturday. Until schools were permitted to operate with a 50% attendance rate with kids arriving on alternate days.

The choices were made at a meeting with health experts and authorities, which was led by CM. People having at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccination will be permitted inside cinema venues, as per  the Pregnant women and toddlers, however, will be denied admission to movie theatres. The CM stated that if the Covid positivity rate in a district exceeds 1%, movie halls and bars in that region will be reduced to 50% occupancy and may be closed if the rate exceeds 2 The CPR for the state is 0.66 percent.
