Mangalore: Karnataka State and District Road Transport Corporation launched a new government city bus service from Sultan Battery in Bolur to Kankanady Railway Station through Amritanandamayi Ashram and back to Bolur Sultan Bathery-Bokkapatna, which was launched by Mangalore South Municipal Legislator Shri D.Vayasi Kamath on 27.9.2021 at 10:30am.
The local public has long been demanding the provision of public transport. According to the sentiments of the people, during the visit of Sadguru Shri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi to Mangalore, Amma had requested for the development of the transport facility.
This public transport will be beneficial for the local people as they are poor and middle class. The roads will be converted into concrete roads. According to Dr. Vasantha Kumar Perla, chairman of the Mata Amritanandamayi Seva Samithi, if a government bus rides with preliminary remarks, it will benefit the general public, pilgrims visiting Brahmasthana, and boat tourism.
