The health department of the Dakshina Kannada district, in collaboration with the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC), will launch a door-to-door vaccination push in Mangaluru from today to enhance vaccine coverage. The district health officer stated We want to cover the whole eligible population in the district through a door-to-door campaign, and we will begin with Mangaluru city in the first phase.
The government had issued a circular instructing health workers to go door-to-door and deliver dosages to those who were qualified. He says they have talked with MCC officials, and they’ve promised to work with the health department. Many individuals living in flats, as per the DHO, have yet to receive the vaccination. The door-to-door surveys would be conducted by teams made up of health workers, Anganwadi and ASHA workers, and MCC multipurpose employees, he added.
