Doorstep delivery of govt services to be launched across state from Jan 26

In the event of the 66th Kannada Rajyotsava, the Karnataka government introduced the Janasevaka initiative, which provides doorstep delivery of 56 government services in Bengaluru. The chief minister launched the Janasevaka program in the Malleswaram constituency, promising that the program would be expanded across Karnataka starting January 26, 2022. In January 2021, the program was expanded to four constituencies in the city: Dasarahalli, Bommanahalli, Rajajinagar, and Mahadevpura, after which it was expanded to Yeshwanthpura.

So far, 93,000 applications have been submitted under the trial initiative. It was put on pause during the Covid-19 pandemic but began earlier this year with the management of Covid-10 safety measures. On Monday, it was officially inaugurated in all 27 Bengaluru city segments except Anekal, with 58 services spread over six key ministries including government-to-citizen services.

BBMP, Karnataka building and other construction workers welfare board, Karnataka police verification, UIDAI (Aadhar Card), Karnataka Arogya health card, senior citizens’ card, and APL cards are among these departments. The government is providing the services for an extra delivery fee of Rs 115. (excluding the departmental service charges). The services will be provided from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

People can also order their services for doorstep delivery at www.janasevaka.karnataka.gov.in.
