From next Monday, the Karnataka government has given the go-ahead to launch Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten (UKG) courses across the state on November 8. On Thursday, the Department of Public Instruction issued a notice to that effect. The order authorizes LKG and UKG lessons in all talukas throughout the state when Covid positive is less than 2%.
It has been instructed to hold half-day lessons between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Angawadi centers were authorized to open on November 8 by the government. The decision was made following the technical advisory committee’s recommendations. It is now required to obtain consent letters from children’s parents. The school administration has been requested to supply safe, sanitary drinking water. If a case of Covid-19 is recorded, it is recommended that all children be tested.
