On November 29, the Kateel Durgaparameshwari Prasadita Dashavatara Yakshagana Mandali, a century-old mela, will begin its journey. It already has a total of six Troupes. The Devi Mahatme performance is the most popular and well-attended. The mela is still putting up-all-night performances.
The Saligrama Mela, which is almost 50 years old, will begin its tour on December 6. The Soukuru troupe will depart on November 29, Hiriyadkka on December 9, Madamakki on December 13, and Megaravalli on December 20, tentatively.
A century-old mela is Mandarthi Sri Durgaparameshwari Dashavatara Yakshagana Mela, which is held in Mandarthi Durgaparameshwari Temple. The mela’s five troupes will begin daily performances on November 28, as per managing trustee of the temple H. Dhananjaya Shetty.
