The Karnataka Lokayukta Justice has ordered officials in Dakshina Kannada to act as quickly as possible to put the Covid-19 outbreak under control. The DK officials mentioned that the remaining 10% of the target population should be identified as soon as possible and brought under vaccination coverage within 15-20 days during a review meeting on different Lokayukta cases at Dakshina Kannada Zilla panchayat here on Monday. In Dakshina Kannada, the vaccination drive reached 90% of the target population for the first dosage.

The Deputy Director of Public Instruction (DDPI) claimed that classes 1 to 5 were 51 percent, 69 percent in classes 6-8, and 81 percent in classes 9-10. 210 children in the district have lost both parents, including five who have lost both parents.
