Udupi: vaccinate eligible people by Visiting houses says DC

Vaccines are the only way to prevent the coronavirus. As a result, the deputy commissioner (DC) and president of the vaccination task force coordination committee recommend making house-to-house visits and vaccinate people who are eligible. The population of the district is 2,95,375 people. Health department employees, Asha activists, and Anganwadi activists should go house to house to gather information on those who haven’t been vaccinated, raise awareness about the need of vaccination, and vaccinate them.

The vaccination campaign will run from November 16 to November 30 across the area. During house visits and the vaccination campaign, people and community leaders should work together. During house visits, the information and cellphone numbers of the residents should be acquired in the format authorized by the government. At least seven-gram panchayats in the taluk should be surveyed twice every day. The work should be overseen by the tahsildar, taluk panchayat executive officer, and taluk level medical officers.

It is preferable to get information on those over the age of 18 from the voter’s list. The campaign should enlist the help of local clubs and organizations, NGOs, and Yuvaka Mandalis. Due to lethargy, pregnant women, new moms, and those suffering from diseases decline vaccinations, as per the Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer. They should be convinced to be vaccinated during house visits.

Families of school-aged children should be urged to get vaccinated through letters addressed to them by the youngsters. An award will be given to the schools in which all of the children’s family members have been fully vaccinated. There was also an additional deputy commissioner, district health and family welfare officer, a vaccination campaign nodal officer, and different medical officers from the taluk.
