In an effort to prevent the spread of cases of Covid-19 caused by the presence of two forms of coronavirus, the state health Minister stated that the travelers from Maharashtra and Kerala must submit negative RT-PCR tests findings from 28 June.
This action was taken in response to an increase in Covid-19 instances caused by the Delta and Delta Plus versions which have been notified to all the deputy commissioners in the districts. Since Karnataka shares borders with both Maharashtra and Kerala, vigilance will be increased in most places. In addition, Belagavi will have specific Covid-19 verification outposts in northern Karnataka, and Karwar in Uttar Kannada. This results in the verification of the negative Covid-19 test reports by tourists who arrive in Karnataka from Goa too.
