A young artist of Udupi Mahesh Marne made a portrait of India’s cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar on a leaf of Aswath tree and praised by the legend himself.
Mahesh from Marne village has made portraits of several illustrious personalities on Aswath tree leaves and has gained recognition and this is one of those.
Mahesh had drawn Sachin Tendulkar’s portrait about six months ago on the leaf in about seven minutes and had entered the record books. He has won a certificate from the Exclusive World Records
Mahesh had sent the leaf in which he had sketched Sachin Tendulkar’s portrait to the legend himself. In appreciation of the art work, Sachin Tendulkar has sent him a letter along with two of his favourite photographs praising him for the art work.
Reacting to the appreciation and the record, Mahesh Marne said, “I am extremely happy to have received the appreciation letter from Sachin Tendulkar. In March 2021, I had sketched Tendulkar’s portrait on a leaf in seven minutes and sent it to the Exclusive World Records. My sketch was selected and I drew another portrait of the master blaster and sent it to his address. I am happy to have received a response from Sachin Tendulkar after six months.”
