Banks to remain closed for 17 days this month

Banks will be closed for 17 days in November, including the second Saturday and Sunday. This month, however, all banks will not be closed for 17 days. Some of the leaves are only found in certain areas. Banks in most regions of the nation will be closed on November 4 for Diwali Amavasya Laxmi Pujan, with the exception of Bengaluru. Banks will be closed in several areas of the nation on November 1 and 3 for Kannada Rajyostsava and Naraka Chaturdashi, respectively.

In some regions of the nation, November 5 and 6 are also bank holidays for Bali Pratipada and Bhai Duj. On the 10th and 11th of November, Bihar’s banks will be closed for Chhath Puja. On November 12th, Meghalaya’s banks will be closed for the Wangala Festival. When banks are closed for Guru Nanak’s birthday on November 19, there will be a long weekend in some states.   • 10 November 2021: Chhath Puja//Surya Pashti Dala Chhath (Sayan ardhya)
  • 11 November 2021: Chhath Puja
  • 12 November 2021: Wangala Festival
  • 19 November 2021: Guru Nanak Jayanti/Karthika Purnima
  • 22 November 2021: Kanakadasa Jayanthi
  • 23 November 2021: Seng Kutsnem

Karnataka banks will be closed on November 22 and Meghalaya banks will be closed on November 23. Aside from the dates stated above, banks will be closed on the following Saturdays and Sundays.

Customers are unlikely to be impacted by the above-mentioned holidays because most banking services, except for cash deposit, check deposit, and demand draught may be obtained through online banking services. On the 30th day of the month, online fund transfers via IMPS and RTGC will also work.
