Beginning on Thursday, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will run buses from this location’s Bejai terminus to Mangaluru International Airport (MIA).
A second bus would depart from Manipal in Udupi and take the Kavoor route to the airport, according to KSRTC sources. The programmes, which were offered a few years ago, were terminated due to a lack of funding. As a result of requests from passengers, they are being restored at the state transport minister’s order, B Sriramulu.
Four Volvo buses have been transported here from Mysuru to operate the services, and the regional transport officer’s approval is still pending, according to the sources. The morning bus’ fixed fare of Rs.100 will go into effect at 6:30 am on the Lalbagh, Kuntikan-Kavoor route. The fixed fare for the service between Manipal and MIA is Rs.300. Other people may use the facility in addition to those heading to the airport.
