City Police Crack Down on Auto Drivers Overcharging Passengers. The police department in a city has registered cases against 16 auto rickshaw drivers for charging passengers more than the prescribed fare. Following numerous complaints from the public, police officers disguised themselves as passengers and hired auto rickshaws on Saturday night to catch drivers who were overcharging. City police commissioner Kuldeep Jain has stated that the operation will continue in the future as well.
