Following demands, the minister for fisheries, ports, and inland transportation stated that he will meet with the chief minister to examine the problem of travel limitations for individuals traveling from Kerala and decide on relaxing the rules. Daily commuters from Kerala’s Kasaragod district have urged the government to reverse its rule requiring negative RT-PCR testing to enter Dakshina Kannada.
Interstate commuters from Kasaragod convened a meeting with ministers and the district deputy commissioner, urging them to ease restrictions. As per them, the number of cases in Kasaragod district has been declining. The DK district administration, on the other hand, has stated that it will only loosen regulations if the government issues an order. has received a plea from Kannadigas in Kasaragod requesting the removal of roadblocks. They are aware of the issue. They plan to fly to Bengaluru today to discuss the issue with the chief minister. The government will make a decision based on the existing scenario to resolve Kannadiga concerns in Kasaragod.
