On Monday, August 23, during a meeting about district disaster management and Covid control, it was decided to start PU offline classes throughout the district in phases starting August 30, following certain conditions. RT-PCR negative reports must be brought by all students.
Those who have been infected should be quarantined for seven days. They must undergo an RT-PCR test once they have been released from quarantine. If any of the students indicate symptoms, they should promptly notify the local administration and must closely adhere to the Covid protocols.
Colleges will be permitted to commence offline classes if the prerequisites are met. The ninth and tenth grades will be allowed to be done under similar conditions in the following days, according to the deputy commissioner.
The deputy commissioner instructed the heads of private educational institutions to write a report outlining the procedures that should be taken in their jurisdictions to ensure that students are safe while attending college. He instructed them to meet with authorities from the education department and follow the government’s regular operating procedure.
Under the current Covid conditions, Minister S Angara has urged the colleges to promptly inform their terms and guidelines. He advised that students follow the procedures used when taking SSLC and other exams.
