Dept Of Pre-University Education planning mid-term exam for II PU students

The department of pre-university education (DPUE) will set question papers for the upcoming mid-term examination scheduled from November 29. The new approach, as per the DPUE director, is being offered for the first time to deal with unanticipated circumstances that may arise during the II PU final test. If we are unable to hold a board examination, DPUE will use mid-term grades as one of the reasons for determining final grades.

Due to the pandemic, the II PU tests were not held last academic year, and all students were deemed to have passed. They were promoted based on their SSLC and I PU grades, as well as internal evaluations and grace grades. Colleges were granted the freedom to conduct mid-term tests and award grades before the epidemic. This time, however, DPUE will provide question papers to all colleges.

The director of the DPUE stated, “The DPUE will set question papers and distribute them to all institutions around the state.” The test will be held on each college campus, with centralized evaluation, similar to the I PU terminal examination.

The new system, as per the DPUE director, would assist students in assessing their academic achievement. All I PU students were advanced to a higher class without having to take an exam last academic year. This mid-term exam will allow them to determine their learning ability. Within a week, the official calendar for the II PU mid-term test will be released. The new arrangement was warmly welcomed by Kittel Memorial PU College’s principal. They were trying to come up with a clear plan for the next PU final test in case it was canceled or if unanticipated occurrences occurred as a result of the epidemic. The new model, although a fine idea, may confuse.
