The ‘Mane Manege Lasikamitra’ campaign, which involves house-to-house inspections to identify persons who have received the first dose of vaccine but have yet to receive the second dosage, will be launched from today in Dakshina Kannada, as per the district health and family welfare officer. He was addressed during a vaccination campaign planning meeting conducted on Monday, November 8 at the city corporation building’s covid war room.
The campaign will begin today in all health centers inside the municipal corporation’s boundaries. The campaign will be expanded to include the entire district in the following round. The university’s NSS volunteers who will take part in the campaign will be trained. The conference was attended by the Covid district nodal officer, the city corporation’s Covid department nodal officer, the district health education officer, the taluk health office, the Mangalore University NSS coordinator, and the NSS unit coordinators from around the city.
The district health officials urged residents to collaborate with NSS volunteers during house-to-house visits and to work together to ensure the immunization campaign’s success.
