Few guidelines to follow before flying to Dubai from India

Dubai-based Emirates airlines announced the resumption of flights from India, South Africa, and Nigeria. The Emirates airline stated recently that it will restart flights between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India on Wednesday. The statement was made after Dubai authorities relaxed travel restrictions for travelers from three countries, including India, on June 19.

Following the relaxation of travel restrictions, Emirates issued a statement saying, “We appreciate the updated procedures and measures announced by Dubai’s Supreme Committee and Disaster Management to allow the safe resumption of passenger travel from South Africa, Nigeria, and India to Dubai.” From June 23 onwards, we will begin transporting passengers from South Africa, Nigeria, and India in line with these protocols. ” The UAE temporarily halted air travel to and from India in April as the country fought a catastrophic second wave of Covid-19; the restriction was then extended until July 6.

Here are the guidelines for traveling from India to Dubai:

Passengers having a valid e-residence visa who have received two Covid-19 vaccinations authorized in the UAE will be allowed to enter Dubai. In the UAE, the following vaccines have been approved: Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNTech E, Sputnik V, and the Oxford University-AstraZeneca vaccine.

  • All passengers traveling from India to Dubai must submit a negative RT-PCR report from a test done 48 hours before departure. As well, only negative PCR test reports with QR codes will be accepted.
  • Passengers traveling to Dubai will also be required to take another COVID-19 test – a fast PCR test – four hours before departure. Once they arrive, they will undergo further RT-PCR testing.
  • Passengers from India will be subject to an institutional quarantine until their RT-PCR test results are available, which will likely be within 24 hours of testing.

After a 15-month closure, Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 1 will reopen on Thursday. Over the course of last year’s COVID-19 outbreak, flights were routed through Terminals 2 and 3.
