After the covid initiated nationwide lockdown there was a drop in corona positive cases. But the after reports show the second wave of covid crisis in the coming months.As a precautionary measure the State department of health and family welfare has decked the hospitals throughout Karnataka with all the requirements. It has provided Rs.37.72 crore to 10 district hospitals and 30 taluk hospitals to procure the necessary equipment like oxygen generators and others.
A special task force, headed by the deputy chief minister, had conducted a meeting and taken all steps required to curb the spread of novel corona food coming three months.The government has set aside Rs.11.32 crore and Rs.22.50 crore for rapid antigen kit and purchasing medicine for coming three months respectively.
On price for drug Remdisvir, the government has decided to charge Rs.1,800/-. It has also decided to take strict measures against private hospitals overcharging for this medicine under KPME Act.
Covid review meeting was conducted with officials of 10 districts and decisions regarding covid second wave, gatherings and precautions were discussed. It was decided to be under check the public gathering, especially the New Year celebrations. It was concluded to keep restrictions strict during December 20 to January fortnight.
Ultimately all the decisions are for public benefit and people have to play their part for its success.
