The Energy Department of Karnataka has introduced Janasnehi Vidyuth Sevegalu, a plan that allows people to get a new power connection within 24 hours by filling out an online application. The new services, which will be offered in all of the state’s energy-supplying corporations, are due to be unveiled by the Energy Minister on Friday. The project covers four types of services, including new connections for home and business customers that will be accessible within 24 hours, provided the current power network in the region does not need to be expanded or altered.
As per an official announcement, the power load demand for such clients should not exceed 18 kW to take advantage of the service within 24 hours. It is now feasible to alter the proprietor of the installation’s name within 24 hours under this system. The program also allows for a 24-hour increase or decrease in sanctioned load. It also allows for a change in power price following the purpose of power usage within 24 hours of application.
These services can be accessed via both online and offline applications. The costs would be sent to the applicants by SMS or email. The new system also allows you to follow the status of your application. The major goal, as per the announcement, was to streamline the procedures and make it easier for customers to obtain services by reducing the amount of paperwork needed to be provided along with the application. From Friday, the new system will be available in 409 sub-divisions of the energy sector across the state.
