Interstate bus service by Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) from Mangalore to Kasargod has resumed its services from November 16,2020. Earlier due to the Covid-19 outbreak, KSRTC as well as KSRTC bus depot had stopped interstate travel from Mangalore to Kasargod for buses. It has been a month since buses have started running from Mangalore to Talapady. Kerala State Road transport services have also resumed its services by providing about 20 buses that arrive at a gap of 7 minutes that ply from Kasargod to Talapady.
Those who wished to travel from Mangalore to Kasargod before the interstate travel resumed had to change buses from Talapady. One had to depend on private buses for their travel. Now since direct buses have started plying, passengers will find it easier to commute between the two cities. Nearly 20 buses will ply on this route.
