On Thursday, February 3, in the presence of the Chief Minister, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Ather Energy and Karnataka’s Electric Supply Companies (ESCOMs) for the establishment of 1000 fast-charging stations across the state. Government agencies would collaborate with the ESCOMs to share their available space for charging stations, and the ESCOMs would be the nodal agency for all technical support.
Ather Energy will provide electric two-wheeler vehicles with free charging. The Managing Director, CEO, and Co-Founder of Ather Energy and the BESCOM Managing Director signed the MoU. The Chief Secretary, the Energy Department’s Additional Chief Secretary, the Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary, and other high officials were in attendance.
