KSRTC resumed services throughout the state except DK & Mysore

Except for Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Mysuru, KSRTC buses have commenced operations in all Karnataka districts. According to the unlocking order, government buses are allowed to operate around the time, including during the night curfew, depending on passenger flow. There is no bus service available to Mysuru, buses will pass through the outskirts if they need to cross this district. Nobody in the Mysuru area will be permitted to either light up or take the bus. No bus is allowed to move in Dakshina Kannada.

According to an official, employees who have previously been vaccinated with both doses will be assigned to duty on these buses first. Depending on demand, buses are pushed to duty in the Udupi area. Buses left for cities across the state, including Hubballi, Belagavi, Agumbe, Shivamogga, Bagalkot, and Bengaluru. Only half of the bus’s seating capacity is authorized to be occupied. Buses have also begun to run to Kundapur and Karkala. Buses to Bengaluru are stranded due to a lack of bus transit permits in the Dakshina Kannada district.

KSRTC staff stated that they were working with the presence of just a few passengers. Private buses in the district have not yet begun to operate. The fact that private buses will begin operations soon because at least 25 people on one route will be required to control operating costs, seems dubious.
