On Christmas Day, the Mangaluru International Airport was dazzling with festive spirit. The Christmas songs performed by 15 visually challenged artists from Shree Sharadha Andhara Geetha Gayana Kala Sangha in Sringeri, Chikkamagaluru district, gave travelers a lively experience.
The artists were able to demonstrate their talent in the departure hall of the airport, right next to the elegantly lighted Christmas decor. If travelers took pictures in front of the decorations, the carol singing helped them get into the holiday spirit.
The Sarvamangala Trust, Mangaluru, which empowers differently-abled people, trained a group of visually impaired artists to sing carols in Braille for passengers and stakeholders at Mangalore International Airport.
