Foodies in Mangaluru are in for a treat, as the city is all set to host a five-day street food festival starting from March 22.
It is organized by Kudla Samskrithika Prathisthana. The festival will be held at two locations, with stalls set up along the roads between Narayana Guru Circle and Karavali Exhibition Ground and between Narayana Guru Circle and Mannagudda Gurji Circle. Food items will be showcased and sold from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the first four days. The festival will begin in the morning and go on till 11 p.m. on March 26. Around 140 stalls have already been booked, and there will be participation from various sectors, including the hospitality industry, independent food caterers, and the ice cream and home industries. Cultural programs will be held on four stages simultaneously, and there will be horse riding, camel riding, and an exhibition of vintage cars at the venue. Visitors can celebrate their birthdays and marriage anniversaries on the stages, and food manufacturers can promote their brands. The festival will be led by Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA of Mangaluru City South D. Vedavyasa Kamath, who are the patrons of the Prathisthana.
