Two young boys from Bantwal taluk’s Pajeeru hamlet have begun their ‘Walk and Drop’ trek from Talapady to Kashmir. During this journey, they intend to research various topics. Muhammed Mehtab and Muhammed Bilal set out six days ago from Talapdy on their expedition. Mehtab works in a grocery, but Bilal was unable to work after completing SSLC due to a lockout. They both considered making the trip amid the coronavirus outbreak. They began their voyage after gaining permission from Talapady family members.
They would go to Kanyakumari from Talapady, from where they would walk to Kashmir. They will be requesting lifts from passing vehicles and, if they consent, will accompany them for the maximum distance possible. They travel roughly a hundred kilometers every day, and if no vehicle is available, they travel 50 kilometers per day. They set up camp and resumed their trip the next morning.
They arrived in Kochi on Sunday, as per Mehtab, and will depart for Kanyakumari on Monday. They anticipate arriving in Kanyakumari in six to seven days, after which they will begin their journey to Kashmir. They stated that gaining the facility to stay overnight was originally difficult due to the fear of covid19. However, after understanding their goal, the police allowed them to stay.
