The Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner has issued orders to shut schools temporarily with a coronavirus positive rate of 5% or more for a week. In these cases, online classes will be conducted.
The deputy commissioner has instructed the education department to gather current data from schools and offer appropriate directives. Participants at the conference expressed concern that if all of the district’s schools are shut, students may encounter difficulties. They advocated for the temporary closure of schools where the frequency of coronavirus infection is higher. After another meeting in a week, a final decision on the matter will be made.
