In a recent meeting held at his office located in the DC complex of the city, Member of Parliament (MP) Nalin Kumar Kateel emphasized the need for swift progress in the construction of a flyover connecting Nanthoor and KPT junction on NH 66. The meeting, which took place on Wednesday, saw discussions centered around various projects at different stages within the district.
During the meeting, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel directed officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to take prompt action in multiple areas. These areas included land acquisition, tree cutting, relocation of electricity poles, and an ongoing court case regarding the land acquisition at Nanthoor. Key individuals present at the meeting included Vivek Jaiswal, the regional head of NHAI, H Krishnamurthy, additional Deputy Commissioner (DC), Lingegowda, project director of NHAI, Dr. Dinesh Kumar Y K, the District Forest Officer (DFO) of Dakshina Kannada, Lohith, executive engineer at Mescom, and Binoy, the special land acquisition officer.
The construction of the flyover between Nanthoor and KPT junction on NH 66 is an essential infrastructure project aimed at improving traffic flow and connectivity in the region.
