Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway during his visit to Karnataka on March 12. The project involves the 6-laning of the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysuru section of NH-275 and has been developed at a cost of ₹8,480 crores. It is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities from 3 hours to 75 minutes, serving as a catalyst for socio-economic development in the region. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Mysuru-Khushalnagar 4 lane highway, a 92 km long project developed at a cost of ₹4,130 crores. It will boost connectivity between Kushalnagar and Bengaluru, cutting travel time from 5 hours to 2.5 hours.
