The UIDAI had launched the aadhaar card in the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) card in the month of October. Just like any other card like the PAN card or debit card or credit card, the aadhaar PVC card can also be carried in one’s wallet. According to the UIDAI, the new aadhaar card will be much more durable, easier to carry, and most importantly will be easily verifiable offline
By paying just INR 50, citizens of India can now get their new Aadhaar card printed. Furthermore, those who have not registered their mobile numbers online can order their new Aadhaar PVC card any other number. As mentioned above, it is also possible for one person in the family to order new Aadhaar cards for every member of their family online using only his/her/their mobile number.
As mentioned earlier, one can register for the new Aadhaar card through any non registered number as it is possible to receive authentication, regardless of the registered mobile number in the Aadhaar. The UIDAI had tweeted about the same and also left a link that individuals could follow for more details and register online.
In order to receive the new aadhaar PVC card, one must click on the link https://residentpvc.uidai.gov.in/order-pvcreprint and then enter the virtual identification number/EID/Aadhaar number. The new PVC card boasts new features like Digitally signed Secure QR code, Hologram, Ghost image, Guilloche pattern, etc. once one click on “send OTP” through a registered number or any alternate number, an OTP will be sent to the said number. However, a preview of the new Aadhaar card will be made available only for those applying through the registered mobile number. A time-based-one-time-password can also be made use of through the m-Aadhaar application. Once the OTP is submitted, and the required payment has been made, the PVC Aadhaar card would have been ordered.
