Mangaluru city police will be organizing an orientation programme for the aspirants of competitive examinations on June 4 at Town Hall from 1 pm to 5 pm informed Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar on Friday, June 3.
The police commissioner said, “Several students in Dakshina Kannada are not showing interest in the civil service examinations. We came to know that there is either no awareness or no proper guidance. They do not know how to prepare for the examination. When we visited the schools and colleges during the people-friendly policing system, students expressed to organise an orientation programme on how to prepare for the civil service examinations. Hence, this programme will be organised from 1 pm to 5 pm on June 4. The officers from the recent batches and officers who cracked UPSC and KPSC will join this workshop.
“Detailed information on how students should prepare for the examinations will be given in the workshop. Students of PUC, degree and post-graduation, candidates preparing for civil service examinations and parents who want their children to write civil service examinations can take part in the orientation programme,” informed the police commissioner.
