Remona Evette Pereira received the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar award for her outstanding contributions in the fields of art and culture. The award included Rs 1 lac cash and a certificate. On Monday, January 24, a virtual encounter with the Prime Minister took place at the Zilla panchayat. Manoj Karipalla and Sandhya K have been teaching Remona semi-classical dance for the past eight years. Pramod Kodikal, Preethesh Kumar, and Nicky Pinto are also teaching her western and contemporary dance.
Remona has received hundreds of prizes as a result of her participation in several competitions. She has also performed in a slew of theatre productions. Remona, a Falnir native, is in her first year of pre-university studies at Nanthoor Padua PU College. She is the younger sister of Ronaldo Rockson and the daughter of Gladis Celine and the late Everest Pereira. In the year 2019, she enrolled in Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha.
