Restrictions On Vehicular Movement In Hampankatta Comes Into Effect From Nov 8 To Jan 6

City police commissioner Vikash Kumar issued an order on the 7th of November which prohibits any vehicular movement in the area of Hampankatta from November 8, 2020 to January 6, 2021. The reason for issuing such a sudden notice is the ongoing concreting and underground drainage work

However, one-way traffic will be allowed from Hampankatta to Navbharath circle while traffic from Navbharath circle to Hampankatta will be banned. All those wishing to proceed to Light House Hill and Falnir from Hampankatta are now requested to take the longer route to PVS through K S Rao Road and/or Ambedkar circle. 

On the other hand, all those wishing to commute to Hampankatta from Ambedkar circle have been advised to use the Milagres Cross Road lying in front of Aravind Motors Showroom at Balmatta Road and enter Falnir Road. Subsequently, those commuting will have to pass through the Wenlock Hospital Underpass, Railway Station Road, U P Mallya Road, adjacent to the taluk panchayat office, and advance towards A B Shetty Circle. 

Moreover, vehicle parking of all sorts will be interdicted on Milagres Road. Furthermore, any vehicular movement from the railway station through the Wenlock Hospital underpass to Hampankatta will also be prohibited. Although, two-way vehicular movement has been allowed from Ambedkar circle to Light House Hill Road. 

However, all of the aforementioned curtailments don’t apply to police vehicles or ambulances, and emergency service vehicles.
